Love is Alternatives to Incarceration Installation

Bring our interactive art installation, and the artists, to your school, community, or event. Created by collaboratively by incarcerated and community group members of Portland Outright, Love is Alternatives to Incarceration tells the story of Outright’s organizing in the year following the death of sixteen year old trans organizer and Outright leader, Charles Maze Knowles, who died while detained at Long Creek Youth Development Center―Maine’s youth prison.

Installation & Artist Talk: $750-$1,000
**Option to add Maine Inside Out's accompanying original performance created by incarcerated and community group members.

Workshops & Presentations

Our youth organizers have designed a series of workshops on youth organizing, visual arts activism, and LGBTQ+ justice for both young people and adult allies. You can bring Portland Outright's youth leaders and our workshops to your community or group. Contact us for more information about booking and partnering.

Partnership & Strategy Building 

Are you a youth organizer, community group, or organization working on a project in service of LGBTQ+ justice and equity? We may be able to connect with you about strategies for youth organizing, centering youth voice in your work, or opportunities for partnership. Get in touch with us!

*Depending on the project, we may ask a sliding-scale consulting fee for organizations and community groups.
